When we receive an order, we assemble our products in China

Our products ship from Shenzhen, China and Hong Kong.

There are a few things we can do, it depends on what kind of customisation is needed.

For small orders (orders under 50 items), we can:

- Lengthen or shorten the drop cable, adding length incurs a small fee

- Change the type of ceiling rose

- We can possibly change the colour on some lights, check in with us first.

For large orders, we can:

- Change the colour
- Possibly change the size - this depends on a range of factors, please get in touch with us and we can see what we can do.

Yes we UL certify all lighting going to the USA. There is a UL hologram mark on each light fixture.
This does not incur any fees.

There are a few products that we aren't able to UL certify due to them being irregularly shaped or customised, we note this on the product page. We will email our customers first to inform them that they have purchased a light that cannot be UL certified as a whole. If you really love it and can't live without it, we can still wire them with UL certified cables and parts but they won't have the UL hologram mark, however using the lighting will be at your own discretion.

Yes we cUL certify all lighting going to the Canada. There is a cUL hologram mark on each light fixture.

This does not incur any fees.

Yes we assemble our lighting with CE certified parts and cables when the orders go to 220v countries (such as UK, European countries, Australia, NZ, UAE, Asia, etc)

Unfortunately we don't have any lighting rated for wet areas.

For most pendant lights that use a fabric or latex cable, you can shorten the cable onsite prior to installation.

For other types of lighting that have a metal rod housing (like our Surry Hills, Arq, Circa lights) you will need to let us know beforehand. Please email us at sale@inslights.com with the light or lights required and the overall height you need and we can customise your order for you.

We understand that ceilings come in all different heights and you might need a longer length!

We sell through our website only - this is how we are able to offer great value across our range. Being online only allows us to be able to cut a lot of costs and we pass the savings onto our customer.

Our average turn around time for orders under 10 lights with regular shipping is:
Approximately 2-3 weeks from order to delivery.

This involves: 5-7 days preparation plus 5-8 days delivery

If you need the order sooner than that, we can often expedite the shipment with DHL or Fedex. Please obtain a quote from us before you order. At many times, if an order is expedited, it can be received in as little to 1-1.5 weeks.

For larger orders, they may incur additional time for preparation. Orders that require customising also may incur extra time.

Hey in the unfortunate event it could happen. Heck it happens when you order a glass of water from a restaurant.

We try our best to package the lighting to the best of our ability, fragile items are packed in custom moulded foam with reinforced cardboard packaging. But our parcels travel around the world and at times endure quite a journey.

The best thing you can do is open your package when you receive it from the delivery man, and if it has arrived broken you can refuse the delivery. Our insurance will kick in and we can get you a replacement light immediately.

Should the unfortunate event occur when nobody's around? Email us a picture of the breakage immediately, let us know your order number and we can get a replacement part sent out to you pronto. 

For regular mail, we ship using EMS which is handled by your local postal service in your country.

We don't include taxes so you may need to pay taxes and duties to customs when the goods arrive in your country.

- If you're from the USA:
At the moment there are no taxes applied on orders below $3000 usd. Please check the tax rate here if you intend to place a large order (as the rate seems to be ever evolving!)

- If you're from Canada:
"Any item mailed to Canada worth over 20CAD may be subject to the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and/or duty. Unless specifically exempted, you must pay the 5% GST on items you import into Canada. The Government of Canada has entered into agreements with certain provinces to collect the HST at a rate of 13 percent. If you live in a participating province, you will have to pay the HST instead of the GST."

- If you're from UK
You’ll be contacted by Royal Mail, Parcelforce or the courier company explaining how to pay any VAT, duty and fees for dealing with customs. They’ll normally hold your parcel for about 3 weeks. You can see more information here

You’ll be contacted by your local mail service provider or the courier company explaining how to pay any VAT, duty and fees for dealing with customs. Alternatively you can contact them directly with your tracking number to arrange payment. You can see more information here

- If you're from Australia 
There are no taxes applied on orders below $1000 aud. The import tax is typically 14% of the declared value with a 10% GST on top of the total. You can see more information here

- If you're from New Zealand
 "Goods mailed into NZ may be subject to import duty. Import duties are calculated on the Customs value of the goods in New Zealand dollars. The goods may also be subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 15%, based on the Customs value of the goods, and including the duty (if any) and postal/courier charges." I'm sorry if we've missed your country, please look it up on your country's customs and import website.

Refused packages inclusing those that are not received due to negligence on the part of the recipient—are refunded once received by our warehouse, less the cost of shipping to and from the destination country, as well as any applicable duties and taxes.

Please contact the postal service, quote your tracking number and in most scenarios they can collect the payment from you.

If you're not happy for any reason, you may return eligible Tudo and co items within 14 days of receiving the order, provided that the items are unused and in original condition, including all original packaging. 

All returned items must meet the terms of our return policy, or they will be sent back to you at your expense.
